Coupon redemption questions

When a coupon is created... there is a field in the config called Maximum Redemptions. Is that per user or per coupon? So if you set that to 2.. does each user that has registered (or will register) get to use that coupon twice.... or once it gets used twice by any user it is done?

Any user and it's done... coupons are a more global type promotion that users could always create new accounts and bypass if it was individually... but you can limit them globally if you need, like first 100 users get the coupon code... etc.
