Product with two items?

Is there a way to create a product that has one option set (select color options) and then instead of adding to the cart it would take the user to a second product (an accessory) with an additional option set? So for example the first product would be something like a pair of shoes that comes in different colors and then it would take you to a second product page where user would select for example the laces that also comes in different colors. Once the second product option was selected both items would be added to the cart. The two items would be sold together but selections would be separate. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Unfortunately no, we have option sets, so if you want customers to choose extra stuff, then they need to do it with option sets... we do not have a way to redirect to another product after adding to cart.
