Personalise your purchase

Hi all, I'm currently testing the free edition with a view to purchasing, however the main thing I need it to be able to do is for customers to be able to personalise their purchases and for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this. Anybody know if this is possible and if so how it's done? Many thanks.

The way you personalize it is to setup product options sets, then attach those option sets to a product. So for example size, color, custom names, etc... that is all done at the product level. I am guessing that is what you mean by personalize their purchase?
