Handling charge tied to a single product

I need to charge a $5 handling charge when someone orders a certain product (not a universal handling charge). Also, this $5 is a flat fee that I need to charge no matter how many of the product is ordered.

I have tried to call it a shipping fee and associate it with a certain weight, but the multiplier effect on the weight when multiple products are ordered causes the shipping fee to go up. Then, I made it a mandatory option but again when the quantity changed the $5 charge multiplied along with it.

How is this possible?

try going to the product and edit it... under advanced pricing options there is some handling setups you can do at the product level. should get you exactly what you want.
