Digital downloads - download count showing as zero even though PDF downloaded

I sell digital downloads and have sold over 300 PDFs since installing EasyCart. My issue is that the download count is showing as 0 for every single order. I know that my customers are downloading their files because I've emailed some of them to check, and have also done tests myself.

I have the download limit set at 5 for my products.

How can this be fixed so I can see if my customers have downloaded their files successfully?
