We are selling food items and I'd like to either not show the "model number " or change it to "product id". If you could please tell me the correct file and location to make this change I would be greatly appreciative!

you can edit that text without even touching the design files themselves. Simply go into the wordpress admin -> store settings -> language editor and then the advanced editor will let you change every phrase of the store to whatever you like... just search for it on that page.
