Suspend Checkout

I have a client who owns a butchers here in the UK. I need to suspend the checkout of the online shop. He cannot keep up with demand with the current Covid-19 situation, hence the temporary disabling of the checkout. Any ideas?

Hello: just go to the settings -> products and put it in catalog mode... and even remove the 'cart' page from your front menu.
