  • Stripe has loads of incomplete payments

Anybody know why our stripe payments in our stripe dashboard is showing many "Incomplete" payments, there are 10 entries listed for 20th May. Is there an issue with the stripe gateway or something, do we need to update our stripe API keys?

It's normal... Stripe builds these payment intents anytime someone adds something to their cart, updates quantities, goes through checkout, configures shipping, each time it builds new intents... until they finally have a set one and actually complete... You can disregard them and really just click on the 'success' tab to see successful completed payments. They are not actually abandoned or incomplete, they are just intents, and we create new ones every time something in cart level changes.

We are going to see and work with stripe in the future, see if we can limit these or hook into them again to update, but right now that is the explanation of them.

Thanks, Just discovered it happens when anyone adds an item to their cart. This is useful info as if all our "incomplete" had become successful we would have probably retired by now! What would be useful for nearly all of our incomplete items is if the product details were included as at the first stage only the price shows so in order to find/locate popular products it is not possible from just the amount which also could be multiples of one product! But now we know what "incomplete" stripe actions are it could be useful in the future with more detail. Is there an option like this in Easycart?

Extra question on this action; When you add something to a shopping cart but don't complete the action any further than simply adding an item to the website shopping cart, some companies/shopping systems send an email to remind you that something is in your shopping cart and asks if you want to continue, this requires a login to work but my question is does Easycart have this function?
