  • Validation Email not getting to Gmail Accounts

Not sure if it's a Gmail thing, or a cart thing, or if Gmail just doesn't like our domain name, but I am having consistent issues with customers with gmail accounts not getting Validation Emails. As for Shipping Confirmation emails, that is a 50/50. At one point a couple regular customers were not getting any emails, and then all of a sudden they started getting them again. It's very frustrating. Any ideas?

It sounds like your perhaps on a shared hosting if it's intermittent like this and email can be picky on wordpress.

    1. Make sure in our settings -> email setup panel that you are using the 'WordPress Email System' and not 'EasyCart Email System'. This will set your EasyCart to use whatever WordPress mechanisms are set to send email.

    2. To get more authenticated and more stable sending as well as usually a sending log so you can see if they are sending or receiving issues, install an SMTP plugin.

    Check this document: https://docs.wpeasycart.com/wp-easyc...on=email-setup

It's important to note how email is sent on a hosting environment, if you are on a shared host, then you get to share many characteristics of all the users on that system, such as a shared subnet or IP address and the validation systems that go with it. Abuse comes from that same subnet or IP range of servers you are on and sending from, it can very greatly amongst hosting environments, but often blocking may not stem from you and your site, but others on the same network or shared sending system as you abusing that environment.
