Pointing the store to a separate database

Hello,

I am a veteran user of EC, but it's been a minute since I've done a new install. I lost a WP site due to a malware infection, and am rebuilding the site. I noticed that during setup there is no way to point the store during setup to an already created database which has all of my data from the old site. Is this true? I noticed that it installed into my WP site, but that's not what I want, I'd like to keep those databases separate, mainly so I can more easily import the old data, or better yet, change a config file to point to my old DB. In searching and reading here, Export/Import seems limited, so what are my options here? The DB has too many users/products in it to start from scratch, and if that is the case, I will most likely lose this contract.

To use your existing database, you can manually update the `wp-config.php` file to point to it. If you need detailed steps, let me know!
